Turn your kitchen into your own personal scientific laboratory! Using just household items, uncover the science and engineering found in your own home. Learn how heat moves from one place to another to make a tasty treat, make some gooey slime using just ingredients in your pantry, mix acids and bases found in your fridge to learn about ratios in a fizzy way, and design a sparkling experiment to rival the best drinks out there. Our kitchen science camp will bring science to your home like you’ve never seen it before. With safe and self-guided activities, you’ll be sure to whip up a good time.

This camp is one week long, and campers will spend approximately two hours each day in virtual face-to-face classes as they collaborate with their peers, conduct introductory activities, send in videos of their projects and get feedback from their instructors. This screen time is split into approximately one-hour sections. Campers work on their activities and projects with very limited need of technology, however it is highly encouraged for campers to record their projects to share with their peers and instructors.

This camp is recommended for students in grades 3-6, but it’s accessible to both older and younger students using included support material.
