Each STEAM Camp is run like an online class, we meet live, online twice each day with time to work on projects in between class time. You can access all camp videos, activities and live meetings in the NIU STEAM Moodle, our online learning community at niusteam.niu.edu. Each camp will have its own dedicated virtual space for you to connect with your instructor and fellow campers.

Once you register for your session, you’ll receive an email with detailed instructions how to create an account for the NIU STEAM Moodle and access your STEAM camp using a special enrollment key. If you’ve already attended a summer camp or STEAM Studio session, you already have an account and will only need your new enrollment key.

To access the NIU STEAM Moodle and join the live class, you need a computer and an internet connection. A web camera is recommended but optional.

However, some of our more technical courses – especially esports and video game design camps – have more rigorous minimum tech requirements. Find the requirements for each course in the list below, and please contact us with any questions.
